Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. seeks Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI I-III) to support PennDOT highway and structural projects across Pennsylvania, including the Allentown area.

You will inspect highway and structure activities, monitor compliance with PennDOT standards, review plans, and document using iPad/Kahua. A high school diploma is required; Civil Engineering degree may substitute; NICET/ACI/NECEPT certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• TCI experience preferred; civil engineering degree may substitute.
• NICET/ACI/NECEPT certifications are a plus.
• Experience with iPad/Kahua or similar documentation systems.
• Valid driver’s license with good record.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of highway and structural construction activities, including concrete and asphalt paving, structures, drainage systems, guide rail, MPT, and E&S controls.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with PennDOT standards and specifications, including Publication 408 and related requirements.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract schedules.
• Prepare and maintain Individual Daily Reports (IDRs) and other project documentation using mobile platforms such as iPad/Kahua.
• Document construction progress, materials, and field conditions.
• Prepare work orders and cost estimates in accordance with project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and field personnel regarding project activities and compliance.
• Support overall construction management efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within specifications.
