Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Field Training Specialist (OJT) to develop and deliver training across varied technical subjects for hourly to monthly audiences. The role implements the DOE-based SAT process and ensures learners are prepared for qualification/certification while maintaining comprehensive training records.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience (or a master's with 1+ year, or 10+ years of related education/experience),

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Or Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Or 10+ years of education/experience may satisfy requirements.
• Meet DOE O 426.2A requirements (high school diploma or equivalent).
• Extensive process or system knowledge in one or more production facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, facilitation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and presents training materials and lesson plans to varied audiences.
• Implements the SAT process from analysis to evaluation.
• Assists managers in tracking and scheduling training requirements.
• Develops Continuing Training modules (Adaptive, Flexible, or Fixed).
• Provides expertise in learning transfer and testing new methods.
• Maintains training records and ensures qualifications.
