Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a MFG Commissioning Support Team Member to provide technical oversight for startup readiness and DOE compliance. The role collaborates with production, safety, and engineering teams to drive performance and safe operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or a Master’s with 3+ years in a related field, with possible PhD consideration. DOE 426.2A requirements apply; a Q clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Or PhD.
• Meets DOE O 426.2A requirements (engineering or related field; nuclear experience).
• Twelve or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with DOE 425.1 and related standards.
• Lead multi-discipline teams across production, operations, safety, and technical professionals.
• Interface with management to ensure timely, effective readiness preparations.
• Maintain floor-level presence to guide performance improvement and knowledge transfer.
• Utilize project management tools to drive organization-wide initiatives.
