As a Field Training Specialist, your mission is to ensure that Best In Class training is taking place in your assigned stores so that every employee has the opportunity to flourish. You accomplish this by establishing and supporting Certified Training Stores in partnership with the local Supervisor that provide a consistent, top quality Manager in Training (MIT) Program. You also develop certified position trainers in each unit who deliver consistent and validated learning experiences aligned with published training materials and processes. You are responsible for the success of the Train the Trainer program in your stores, ensuring that every trainer is certified by you and prepared for their teaching responsibilities. You will deliver Periodic and Quarterly reports demonstrating training completion, validation, and documentation for all roles. To succeed, you must be passionate about teaching and uphold Taziki’s Training standards, communicating effectively with store managers, hourly employees, area supervisors/operators, and the corporate team.

Your Responsibilities
Certified Trainer Development
  • Recruit, interview, and select position trainers in each assigned unit from existing staff following trainer criteria guidelines.
  • Conduct Train the Trainer programs in each assigned unit to produce certified trainers.
  • Provide 1-to-1 coaching and accountability to certified trainers to ensure validated training results.
  • Be an advocate and example for the Quest training platform as part of daily operations.
  • Deliver clear communication and periodic progress reports to the Field Training Department, GMs, and Area Supervisors.
  • Track food safety certifications and proctor exams, reporting results to the Field Training Manager.
  • Collaborate on post-opening training handoffs for new units.
  • Identify and develop Senior Trainers for growth opportunities.
Training Stores and MIT Program
  • Work with Certified Training Stores and enrolled MITs to validate and review management training progress.
  • Conduct weekly face-to-face touchpoints with MITs to measure progress.
  • Validate MIT graduation readiness and conduct evaluations.
  • Communicate progress and documented completions to the department.
  • Support ongoing development and coaching at Certified Training Stores.
Other
  • Conduct New Hire Welcome & Orientation sessions weekly.
  • Provide training support for new store openings, management training, and special programs.
  • Build strong relationships with GMs and Supervisors based on trust and results.
  • Enhance operational effectiveness, guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability through training.
  • Participate in training and development meetings.
Your Results

Your Work Conditions/Hours
  • Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours weekly, moderate physical activity.
  • Occasional nights, weekends, holidays for events.
  • Daily in-market travel required.
  • Out-of-market travel about 15-20% annually.

Qualifications
  • Experience at a high level in restaurant training, with or without Taziki's experience.
  • Management experience, preferably as a General Manager in a Taziki's store.
  • Minimum 2 years as a high-performing Taziki's manager.
  • Completion of MIT training as needed.
  • English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong restaurant operations knowledge.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • No more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Excel.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Food safety certification required.
  • Willingness to travel.
Physical/Mental Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift up to 40 pounds, work efficiently under pressure.
