Job summary

Steak ’n Shake is seeking a high-impact Field Training Manager (FTM) to elevate performance across franchisee restaurants. Reporting to the VP of Training, this leader will drive training excellence, strengthen multi-unit capability, and ensure disciplined restaurant certification standards across assigned markets.

The role is field-facing with heavy travel, focusing on coaching, assessments, and live training delivery to build the leadership bench and improve operational results.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive restaurant operations experience.
• Minimum 2 years of multi-unit training leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading restaurant training initiatives and coaching managers.
• Ability to travel within assigned domestic markets (50–70% travel).

Responsibilities

• Lead market-based training execution across franchise and company markets.
• Coach and develop restaurant leadership through assessments and development days.
• Facilitate instructor-led training classes and ensure core curriculum delivery.
• Manage training restaurant certification standards and audits to maintain high performance.
• Support new restaurant openings through onboarding and follow-up training plans.
