Job summary

Emerson seeks a motivated Sales professional to join our North America team as a Professional Tool Specialist in the Hudson Valley, NY area. You will promote RIDGID and Greenlee tools to end-users across electrical, mechanical, utility, plumbing, and industrial segments, engaging electricians, plumbers, linemen, foremen, and project managers to demonstrate value.

This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region and requires travel about 50% with a valid driver’s license;

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with tool applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, utility or plumbing tools.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a clear and concise summary.
• Good organizational skills and strong analytical, problem solving & influencing skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%, including overnight stays.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).

Responsibilities

• Promote RIDGID/Greenlee product line to end-users in Electrical, Mechanical, Utility, Plumbing, and Industrial segments at local level.
• Develop relationships with electricians, plumbers, linemen, foremen, and managers across customer chains.
• Conduct training at apprenticeship and journeyman centers; respond quickly to urgent needs.
• Demonstrate value proposition Faster-Safer-Easier to stakeholders.
• Plan and execute RIDGID/Greenlee specifications in key end-user accounts.
• Collaborate with Product Managers on leads and follow up on opportunities.
