Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Materials Technician for field testing and sampling, with lab work on soil, concrete, and asphalt. You will prepare detailed test reports and communicate results to project managers, engineers, and clients.

The role emphasizes calibration of equipment and strict safety compliance. Typical duties include site-based testing, data collection, and adherence to SOPs, with occasional lab tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with field testing and material sampling.
• Ability to perform lab tests on soil, concrete, asphalt.
• Capable of producing handwritten field reports.
• Proficient with data collection using spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field testing and sampling of construction materials.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt samples.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports of test results.
• Communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Follow SOPs for testing at construction sites.
• Primarily work on construction sites with some lab work as needed.
