Job summary

Vylor in York, Nebraska is hiring a Field Testing Specialist to support our research station operations across multi-crop seed projects. You will help scale innovation by conducting field trials, collecting data, and ensuring adherence to protocols while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor or associate degree in agriculture or a related field with 2–4 years of industry experience, strong agronomy knowledge, attention to detail, and proven ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in agriculture or related field with 2–4 years industry experience.
• Keen knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental plot design.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with diverse groups.
• Experience with computers and data management.
• Experience operating planting and harvest equipment with electronics, GPS, and data collection.
• Demonstrated leadership, safety awareness, supervision, and time management.
• Able to work in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions; able to obtain pesticide applicator license.
• Valid driver's license; no relocation or visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Support the York Research Center operations with multi crop seed filling, seed preparation and data collection.
• Operate planting, harvesting, and spray equipment, plus specialized remote sensing equipment.
• Apply agronomic knowledge for weed control and plot maintenance.
• Collect data and assess data quality.
• Assist with experiment planning and mapping.
• Supervise part-time crews to complete field activities per protocols.
• Availability for overtime during peak planting and harvest seasons.
• 100% site dedicated position.
