Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians to support field projects across the region. You will perform routine field tests and observations, work in varying weather conditions, and maintain a positive customer service mindset aligned with ECS Core Values.

This role emphasizes hands-on testing, report documentation, equipment calibration, and teamwork with project managers, clients, and site staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; associate or technical degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Certifications such as NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector or ICC are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, stand long periods, walk uneven ground, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Testing and observations for new construction or the built environment and related services.
• Perform field and laboratory testing and observations.
• Progressive learning about testing and observations of various systems in different weather.
• Daily communication with other ECS technicians, project managers, principals, clients, and site representatives.
• Attend project meetings with ECS senior staff and clients as requested.
• Document test results and observations in reports appropriately.
• Learn to calibrate and use field equipment and assist with maintenance.
• Incidental duties may include clerical tasks and report production assistance.
• Other duties as requested.
