Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP is seeking Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians to perform field tests and observations on projects. This frontline role emphasizes a positive customer service attitude and alignment with ECS Core Values.

Technicians will work outdoors and indoors, perform testing, document results, and communicate with project teams. The position requires physical capability, an eye for safety, and willingness to learn complex systems in a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or technical degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Professional certifications are preferred but not required (NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector and/or ICC certifications).
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Must lift a minimum of 40 pounds multiple times per day, stand for extended periods, walk on uneven ground, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Testing and observations for new construction or the built environment, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation, and related services.
• Perform field and laboratory testing and observations.
• Progressive learning about testing and observations of various systems in indoor/outdoor conditions.
