Job summary

Modular Mission Critical near Richmond, VA, is hiring for a role overseeing installation, programming, testing and maintenance of protective relaying and metering systems. The position supports reliability and safety across transmission/distribution environments and requires interpreting schematics and coordinating repairs.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years electrical experience (HS diploma/GED) or higher, familiarity with HV testing, and ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• This role prefers NETA/NICET certification or equivalent hands-on testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC and OSHA electrical standards.
• Ability to read schematics and substation drawings and to interpret manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, program protective relays and metering systems in transmission/distribution.
• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing per NETA standards.
• Coordinate testing and repairs with other departments.
• Commission new relay and metering installations.
• Maintain detailed test reports and documentation for clients.
