Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician with 5+ years of telecom experience. You will perform installations, repairs, and MACD for Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment, while supporting optical, electrical, voice and data services at customer sites.

You will test circuits with OTDR and uphold Ledcor's safety and customer-focused standards, traveling as needed and working in a dynamic, self-managed environment.

Qualifications

• Five plus years in telecommunications, installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude for challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
• Technical college degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site installation and repair of internet, copper and fiber cabling, rack-mounted routers, and demarcation extensions.
• Identify, analyze, and provide solutions to technical issues such as install cable runs and data circuits.
• Perform MACD activities on various Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment to support services.
• Test circuits and equipment using OTDR and related tools.
• Maintain Ledcor safety program and work in a professional, customer-focused manner.
• Travel to customer locations with a company vehicle; on-call evenings and weekends.
