Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a Customer Service Technician in North Carolina to install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video and voice networks and associated wiring. You may work across outside plant facilities and respond to customer needs in assigned service areas.

As a Customer Service Technician, you may be required to work varying shifts that include mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays, while observing safety protocols and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
• Ability to distinguish colors on facilities.
• Comfort with basic computer tasks and MS Office.
• Willingness to work shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video and voice networks and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities.
• Climb poles, dig in/crawl through access holes, and locate buried cables.
• Observe safety rules and assist other technical personnel as needed.
• Support sales and marketing activities and direct customer-facing work.
