Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Construction Technician-Line Worker to install, repair, and maintain poles and cables across various sites. The role involves handling aerial and underground work, using bucket trucks, and following safety procedures. Travel may be required, with a union bidding process in place.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of outside plant experience, a pole-climbing certification, OSHA 10, and proficiency with construction equipment. On-call and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside plant construction experience.
• Pole climbing certification required.
• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course and Buck Squeeze certifications.
• Proficient operating various construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles and cables.
• Set up service for customers and test equipment as requested.
• Measure signal strength at utility poles with test equipment.
• Inspect lines or cables and record test results to locate faults.
• Use bucket trucks, ladders, and other methods to access work areas.
• Lay underground cables and pull lines with proper tension.
• Splice copper and fiber cables as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
