Job summary

Sentrillion in Reston, VA is seeking a Field Technology Specialist to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage security and IT systems across multiple project environments. You will install cameras, access control devices, biometrics, and locking hardware, wired to CAD drawings and design plans.

The role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong problem solving and communication skills. Expect up to 85% travel; a valid driver’s license and 3+ years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in low voltage installation, security systems, or IT hardware deployment.
• Familiarity with IP-based systems and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with video surveillance and troubleshooting low voltage infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot cameras, access control, biometrics, and locking hardware.
• Work with video and data cabling, and deploy hardware per design plans.
• Evaluate system performance and provide quality assurance feedback.
• Coordinate materials, manage receipt/tracking, and ensure timely deliverables.
