Job summary

LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico seeks a field vegetation management coordinator to provide oversight and operational support for vegetation near transmission and distribution circuits. You will verify work, perform quality audits, coordinate contractors, investigate outages, support customers, document field activities, and ensure data quality.

Travel about 20% is expected. Requires a technical diploma or associate degree (natural resources, environmental sciences, biology, or agronomy) or equivalent

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or Agronomy.
• High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar functions.

Responsibilities

• Conducts field assessment of vegetation near Transmission and Distribution circuits.
• Notifies property owners of planned vegetation maintenance and negotiates access for work.
• Supports foremen and vegetation crews in clarifying prescribed work.
• Performs post-work quality inspections.
• Conducts contractor safety oversight and inspections.
• Adheres to safety and procedures for a secure work environment.
• Follows company policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participates in storm restoration tasks and drills.
• Performs additional tasks to support team goals.
