Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is hiring a Traffic Control Apprentice to perform field duties in work zones, ensuring safety for workers and the public. You will assist with loading and unloading dispatch trucks, operate motorized tools as required, and maintain attention to detail in every task.

The role requires 3–6 months of experience, current DOT certification, ability to lift 80 lbs, and good judgment in live traffic environments.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of experience as a Traffic Control Apprentice.
• Passed general knowledge test – Temporary sign, Lane Closure, and Flagging.
• Current DOT certification.
• Able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Able to load & unload dispatch trucks.
• Capable of following supervisor instructions with acute attention to detail.
• Ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required.
• Able to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic control duties in work zones, following supervisor instructions and safety protocols.
• Contribute to keeping roads safe for workers and the public.
• Operate or assist with motorized tools and equipment as required, and assist with loading and unloading dispatch trucks.
