Job summary

GT Power Construction Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to join their team in Concord, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solar and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with system diagnostics and repairs, ensuring high-quality delivery of services.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting faults, performing electrical testing, and managing warranty processes. Candidates must have a current driver's license and willingness to travel 100% of the time.

Qualifications

• 1 year of solar installation experience required.
• Current driver's license and ability to work independently in the field.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Perform insulation resistance testing and other electrical diagnostics.
• Replace and recommission faulty equipment including inverters and solar modules.
• Manage manufacturer warranty replacements.

Skills

Experience with SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase, and LG Battery systems

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Competency in Megger testing and electrical testing procedures

Hands-on experience replacing inverters, optimizers, batteries, and solar modules

Ability to read electrical schematics and commissioning documentation
