Responsibilities include troubleshooting faults, performing electrical testing, and managing warranty processes. Candidates must have a current driver's license and willingness to travel 100% of the time.

Qualifications

• 1 year of solar installation experience required.
• Current driver's license and ability to work independently in the field.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Perform insulation resistance testing and other electrical diagnostics.
• Replace and recommission faulty equipment including inverters and solar modules.
• Manage manufacturer warranty replacements.

Skills

Experience with SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase, and LG Battery systems

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Competency in Megger testing and electrical testing procedures

Hands-on experience replacing inverters, optimizers, batteries, and solar modules

Ability to read electrical schematics and commissioning documentation

Field Technician – Solar & Battery Systems

Join GT Power Construction Inc. as a Field Technician and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality construction services. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands‑on in the field, contributing to innovative solar and battery storage projects across Concord, CA.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Perform insulation resistance testing (Megger) and other electrical diagnostics.
• Identify and rectify system performance, communication, and hardware issues.
• Replace and recommission faulty equipment, including:
  • SolarEdge optimizers
  • Inverters
  • Battery storage systems
  • Solar modules/panels
• Manage manufacturer warranty replacements (RMA process).
• Commission and recommission systems following repairs or equipment replacement.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work is carried out safely and to industry standards.

Requirements

• Experience with SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase, and LG Battery systems.
