Job summary

Harnish Group Inc., the family-owned Caterpillar dealer for central and western Washington, central and eastern Montana, northwestern Wyoming, northwestern North Dakota and Alaska, whose member companies include N C Machinery and Tractor & Equipment Co., is hiring Heavy Equipment Field Technicians on rotation for the Service Department at its Fairbanks, Alaska branch. The rotator schedule is 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the role requires mining experience on haul trucks, dozers and loaders. Technicians diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems, using CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling and rigging and blocking equipment, while controlling job costs. Requirements include a high school diploma or a 2–4 year vocational technical school (or equivalent experience), a valid driver’s license, Microsoft Outlook skills and flexibility to travel for extended periods; Cat dealership or Cat product experience is ideal. The listed pay range is $63.65 to $67.65 an hour, with housing provided, a 401k with company match and profit sharing, and medical, dental and vision insurance.
