Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Field Technician to support the MFRFS radar systems and Coyote UAS platform in deployed environments. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex radar and weapon systems while providing technical guidance to soldiers in the field.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with related experience or an advanced degree, willingness to travel up to 100%, and U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility. Expect onsite work in McKinney, TX with global deployments.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelors and 2+ years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with 1+ years of experience.
Experience performing depot-level maintenance on electronic systems or radar equipment.
Ability to formulate, document, and brief technical reports on Radar and Coyote UAS systems.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, manuals, and bulletins.
Hands-on experience executing technical procedures and documenting maintenance and troubleshooting actions.
Familiarity with tools, resources, and test equipment used for electronic installation, maintenance, and testing.
Solid understanding of basic radar theory.
Active, transferable US government Secret security clearance required before start date.
U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and provide technical support for the MFRFS radar systems and Coyote UAS platform.
Serve as a technical expert, addressing operational and maintenance questions.
Provide instruction to U.S. Army personnel on emplacement, operation, maintenance, and marching orders.
Conduct inventory control and accountability for field-replaceable parts.
Document maintenance actions accurately per procedures.
Balance mission priorities with administrative tasks.
Work in austere environments, including forward operating bases and remote locations.
Support multiple locations on a rotating basis (approx. 4–5 months per rotation).
