Job summary

Pape’ Material Handling, a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, seeks a skilled Field Technician to join our Fremont, CA team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer sites, travel within your region, and ensure maximum equipment uptime with high-quality service.

You’ll work across a wide range of systems, communicate clearly with customers, and collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure timely parts availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment in the material handling industry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a range of material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance across various makes and models.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain and return parts as needed.
• Travel within the assigned area to service customers and ensure uptime.
