Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; OSHA-10 and forklift certification within 90 days preferred.

• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems.
• Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment.
• Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols.
• Complete basic documentation such as safety checklists or field reports.

This role is ideal for individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a physically demanding environment. Experience in underground utilities or construction is strongly preferred.

Compensation: $18.00 - $26.00 / hour

This role is ideal for individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a physically demanding environment. Experience in underground utilities or construction is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems
• Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment
• Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols

• Observe and learn proper procedures for tapping, stopping, and field repairs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Mental/Physical Demands and Environmental Factors

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and kneeling
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to climb ladders up to 30 feet
• Exposure to construction hazards, moving parts, and outdoor elements
• Work in confined spaces, trenches, and other field conditions
• Travel may be required on short notice
