Rangeline Group is seeking a Field Technician Level 1 in Lumberton, NJ to support on-site crews in the safe setup, maintenance, and operation of tapping and line-stopping equipment. The role emphasizes a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and learning Rangeline's systems in a physically demanding environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prefer experience in underground utilities or construction.

Qualifications

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Clear communication and respectful interaction with others.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Availability to travel and work overnight or on-call shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems.
Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment.
Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas.
Load and unload materials and equipment.
Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site.
Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols.
Complete basic documentation such as safety checklists or field reports as directed.
Observe and learn proper procedures for tapping, stopping, and field repairs.
