Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Field Technician (L2) to execute installation services and cabling in live, mission-critical data centers. The role requires independent work, adherence to safety and QA/QC standards, and mentoring of junior technicians.

The position offers compensation in the range of $25-$30 per hour with 401(k) matching, paid holidays, PTO, and travel to regional data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an associate’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of documented industry experience in data center, structured cabling, or field service environments.
• Fiber optic testing certification on OTDR and OLTS desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation services per contractual agreements, ensuring safety, QA, and QC standards.
• Perform cabling and testing for copper and fiber in live data center environments.
• Read cable maps, schematics, and floor layouts to support installation and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, asset tracking, and service reports for all assigned work.
• Mentor L1 Field Trainee Technicians and support QA/QC processes.
