Pest Control Technician Duties

1. Inspect and treat for pests, pest harborage, and entry points
2. Build and maintain customer relationships
3. Maintain high service standards at all accounts
4. Take initiative and responsibility for pest problem correction
5. Suggest and sell services to meet customer needs
6. Participate in group meetings and account reviews
7. Complete ongoing training independently and in groups
8. Work as part of a team
9. Work flexible hours as needed

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working with the public
• Experience using computers and smartphones
• Physical ability to set up, use, and work off of 12+ foot extension ladders
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read and understand English product labels
• Valid driving record meeting company standards
• Stable work history
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfort working with insects and animals in various environments
• Pass a respirator fit test and possibly a DOT physical
• Pass pre-employment drug, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks
• For safety, all technicians should be clean-shaven for respirator use
