Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Field Technician III in Savannah, GA. The role is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime eligibility.

Pay is dependent on experience, with a discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus. Qualified candidates will have at least 4 years as a diesel mechanic in construction equipment or rentals, strong electrical/hydraulic diagnostic skills,

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a diesel mechanic, construction equipment or rental background.
• Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment.
• Experience with major and minor repairs on diesel/gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $10,000+ in value.
• Experience on industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus.
• TWIC or Safety Council OSHA Basic Plus certification preferred, obtainable if not held.
• Basic computer knowledge for service work orders, parts ordering, and tasks.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine service including checking fluids and lubrication.
• Novice welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records including warranties.
• Team-player with a self-starter attitude; career growth possible.

Required Skills & Experience
