Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. You will troubleshoot, document results, and support commissioning activities while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Successful background checks.

• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
• Participate in safety training, meetings, and job briefings; identify hazards.
• Support a strong safety culture through hazard reporting and safe practices.
• Test high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, batteries, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using schematics and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance and adjustments.
• Document testing and maintenance accurately per requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
