Job summary

Lumen is hiring a Field Technician I in Tennessee to manage asset logistics, install and test network gear, and troubleshoot field equipment. You will work with fiber optic transmission gear and power systems, ensuring service restoration and accurate field records.

You will maintain schedules, update trouble tickets, and participate in preventive maintenance of critical infrastructure while on call and coordinating with teams to keep networks reliable.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn corporate databases.
• Knowledge of network monitoring/maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work on-call and on-site in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots network equipment and restores service.
• Install/test Next Generation technologies (Edge Compute, Wavelength, IP layers).
• Maintain asset management and stock levels for on-site materials.
• Coordinates shipping/receiving of company materials and logs updates.
