Job summary

Lumen Technologies is hiring a Field Technician I to manage assets, coordinate delivery and replenishment of materials, and support installation and testing across fiber and IP networks. The role involves equipment testing, problem isolation, and documenting trouble tickets for status updates.

The candidate should be hands-on, able to work in varied field environments, and willing to be on-call. This position includes responsibilities for preventive maintenance, shift coverage, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or up to 2 years of relevant job experience including 1+ years network monitoring, installation, or maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots network equipment, removes/replaces defective equipment, and works with appropriate resources to isolate and restore network.
• Assists in installation/change/decommission and testing of Next Generation technologies such as Edge Compute, Wavelength, Fiber Optic transport, Ethernet, SONET and IP network layers.
