Job summary

A telecom service provider is seeking a Universal Technician I to install CATV systems in homes. Responsibilities include performing installations, educating customers on equipment, and completing work orders accurately. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and have the physical ability to perform the job, including lifting weights up to 75 pounds and climbing. This role is the first step in an advancement program towards a Universal Technician III position, providing opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous experience in the Telecommunications industry – preferred.
• Math ability to the 12th grade level - preferred.
• Ability to read and spell English properly - required.
• Physical ability to climb poles and ladders - required.
• Valid driver’s license - required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of CATV drop systems from tap to TV.
• Complete installation work orders timely and accurately.
• Educate customers on home premise equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cable equipment.
