Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Enterprise Field Technician I for the Memphis market to deliver and maintain telecommunications network services. This hands‑on, field‑based role offers training and growth with a strong focus on customer experience.

Work includes installing and testing next‑gen tech, troubleshooting, and traveling to customer locations. The role requires endurance for outdoor work, safety compliance, and a willingness to be on‑call on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or up to 2 years of relevant job experience including 1+ years network monitoring, installation, or maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots network equipment, replaces defective gear, and isolates issues to restore service.
• Assists in installation/change/decommission and testing of Edge Compute, Wavelength, Fiber transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP layers across bandwidths.
• Install, activate, and maintain telecommunications services and equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and repair on network infrastructure.
• Respond to outages and assist with restoration, including fiber cut recovery.
• Test and validate network services with company tools.
