Job summary

Master Meter, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I in Charlotte, NC to support AMR/AMI systems on-site and travel within the NC/SC region. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain smart metering equipment while partnering with sales and distributors to deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience, basic electronics knowledge, and a willingness to travel up to 80% overnight. Strong communication and data reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with basic electronics/installations preferred.
• 1 year technical customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to install, repair and maintain products and systems in field.
• Knowledge of meter technologies and RF/data collection devices preferred.
• Willingness to learn and quickly acquire new skills.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data entry and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for AMR/AMI systems on-site.
• Oversee equipment installations as needed.
