Job summary

Opifex-Synergy seeks a Field Technician to manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing of heavy equipment. You will diagnose errors, perform preventive upkeep, and deliver on-site service and customer support during field visits.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, extensive knowledge of diesel engines, strong troubleshoot/repair skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
• Proven field service experience
• Must have own tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work flexible shifts

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment to ensure proper operation on-site or in the shop.
• Performs routine equipment clean-up and safety checks.
• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and reconditions heavy equipment and completes related paperwork.
• Participate in training programs directed by the Manager.
• Report any unsafe tools, equipment, or vehicles to the Service Manager.
• Maintain tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations.
• Complete basic computer tasks: work orders, parts lookup, and email.
• Communicate with coworkers and customers to ensure top-quality service.
