Job summary

EquipmentShare is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) in Central Austin, TX. You will repair and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, using laptops/tablets and OEM data to diagnose issues and keep service records accurate.

You will work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime and on-call opportunities. Training and career development are emphasized in a safety‑mocused, values‑driven team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; trade school certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be 21+.
• Must own tools applicable to the position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders using our tech.
• Track machine service intervals and diagnose issues quickly.
• Order parts and pull data from multiple models for root cause.
• Maintain written/electronic work records daily.
• Assist in training junior technicians as needed.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs/maintenance when required.
• Occasional on-call duties with additional compensation.
