Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in Ohio is seeking an environmental technician to support emergency response, cleanup, and hazardous waste handling. You will operate cleanup equipment, perform field tasks, and follow safety and regulatory procedures in a physically demanding role.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification; driving record must meet standards. PTO and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices.
• Perform emergency response cleanup including chemical and water spills and hazardous waste handling.
• Sweep, dig, shovel, lift, pressure wash and handle drums to assist cleanup.
• Operate cleanup equipment used in hazardous waste activities.
• Follow policies for storage and control of hazardous substances.
• Attend safety training as required.
• Comply with Random Drug Testing Program.
• Assist with facility maintenance and unloading trucks as needed.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls during standby.
