Job summary

SET Environmental Inc in Maumee, OH is seeking an environmental field technician to join our crew. You will support crew safety, participate in both scheduled and emergency response projects, and assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain.
• Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads.
• Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently.
• Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
• Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs
• Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs
• Work in a variety of weather conditions
• Support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry - CSE, Environmental remediation, Waterway response, Hazardous materials cleanup
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary
