Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in Richmond, CA is seeking a hands-on Environmental Laborer to support emergency response, cleanup operations, and waste handling on industrial sites. You will follow safety procedures, assist with equipment operation, and participate in on-call emergency responses as needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some environmental services industry experience preferred.
• Some hazardous waste control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following all safety practices and policies.
• Perform emergency response cleanup activities including chemical and water spills and hazardous waste handling.
• Assist with cleanup tasks and operate basic cleanup equipment.
• Follow procedures for handling and storing hazardous substances.
• Attend safety training as required.
• Participate in 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on standby.
• Work long hours and overtime as needed.
• Support facility maintenance and other duties as required.
