Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in Rockville, Virginia is seeking a hands-on environmental technician to join our emergency response and remediation team. The role requires a strong safety mindset, ability to work long hours, and readiness to travel or standby for 24/7 calls.

You will perform cleanup, handle drums, operate equipment, and support facility maintenance while adhering to hazardous materials procedures and regulatory requirements. Competitive hourly pay with benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification required.
• Confined Space Entry certification preferred.
• Driver's license with DMV record required.
• Some environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform emergency response cleanup including chemical and water spills and hazardous waste handling.
• Operate cleanup equipment and handle drums during cleanup.
• Follow procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances.
• Attend safety training and be available for 24/7 emergency calls.
• Assist with facility maintenance and other duties as required.
