Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a Field Technician/Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in shop and on-site settings. The role offers hands-on work with Komatsu and other premier brands, plus ongoing factory training.

You will develop service plans, order parts, document work orders, and communicate findings to customers and supervisors. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree preferred; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology or related field.
• Equivalent hands-on experience considered for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and related components.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs.
• Develop repair plans and determine parts, materials, and tooling required.
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently while meeting quality standards.
• Prepare service reports, work orders, warranty documentation, and repair recommendations.
• Order and manage parts through company systems.
• Communicate repair status and findings with supervisors and customers.
• Maintain company vehicles, service trucks, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform shop and field service work as assigned.
