Linder Industrial Machinery Company in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a skilled Field Heavy/Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment in shop and field environments. You will work with Komatsu and other premier equipment, supported by factory training and modern tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent apprenticeship or hands-on experience considered.
• Experience working on construction, mining, agricultural, trucking, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Preferred: Komatsu or similar heavy equipment; hydraulic systems; electrical and electronic diagnostics; undercarriage, drivetrain, and powertrain systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and related components.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs.
• Develop repair plans and determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling.
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Prepare service reports, work orders, warranty documentation, and repair recommendations.
• Order and manage parts through company systems.
• Communicate repair status and findings with supervisors and customers.
• Maintain company vehicles, service trucks, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform shop and field service work as assigned.
