Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT equipment in the field. You will handle engine, powertrain, electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics and repairs, using CAT diagnostic tools and rigging equipment.

The role requires traveling to serve customers, excellent communication, and a safety-focused, cost-conscious approach. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a long‑standing family-owned company culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment mechanic / technician experience (Technical education may substitute for up to 2 years of this experience)
• Valid driver's license (used for potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Outlook
• Ability to stand up to eight hours per day, including twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling
• Flexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customers
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal

We offer a competitive benefits package that includes an hourly wage from $45.25 - $49.25 per hour. Pay is dependent on experience.
