Harnish Group Inc. in Billings, MT is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for the Customer Shop to diagnose, repair, and service Caterpillar equipment. You will troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems using CAT tools and diagnostic equipment.

The role emphasizes planning to control job costs, safe operation of forklifts and related gear, and adherence to documentation and safety procedures. Competitive hourly pay based on experience is offered.

Qualifications

• A graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers in a safe manner.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
• This role requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
• Efficiency in completing paperwork.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.

Hourly Pay Range: $29.95-45.00. Hourly wage offered based on skills and experience.
