Job summary

Concentric, LLC, the nation’s largest independent industrial power provider, seeks a Technician, Critical Power/Data Center Services to install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot UPS systems, batteries, switchgear, and PDUs in field environments.

The role requires extensive travel, safety training, and the ability to work across diverse facilities, including data centers and industrial sites. A strong electrical background and customer-service focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification in electronics/electricity curriculum through technical college or military training.
• Electrical/electronic experience and knowledge of AC/DC theory.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and safely use test equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and may rent/drive a vehicle as needed.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and participate in on-call emergency service.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and customer screenings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and meet driving requirements.
• Ability to wear PPE and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, PDF, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot UPS systems and batteries.
• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, testing, and repairs.
• Participate in rotating on-call after-hours support.
• Read schematics, one-line diagrams, MOPs, and OEM procedures.
• Safely use electrical and battery test equipment.
• Document service work and communicate findings to customers.
• Frequent travel and field service across multiple sites.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
