Job summary

Intertek USA, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks a Field Technician in Dallas, TX to perform soil, concrete testing and site observations under approved procedures. You will use testing equipment, review drawings and records, and maintain detailed test documentation.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift 30–50 lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and hold a valid driver's license. ACI Field Technician Grade 1 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds frequently; occasional over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to discriminate sounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and be able to walk/stand for long periods.

The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally and be able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as neededlic
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• One year of construction materials testing experience in the local market is required
• ACI Field Technician Grade 1 Certification is required
