Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Field Technician to join the Nashville team. No prior experience is required as training is provided. You will learn to safely perform field and lab testing on soils, aggregates, and concrete under supervision, with opportunities to obtain certifications and advance your career.

The role emphasizes field activities, data collection, and strong communication with contractors and managers, with a pathway to OSHA and industry-standard certifications.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to lift at least 85 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observe, test and sample materials on site following project requirements.
• Testing procedures: perform routine field and laboratory tests per standards.
• Data collection: calculate and reduce data from tests and sampling.
• Communication: update site contractors and project managers and assist with equipment logistics.
• Training and development: learn ECS methodologies and document findings precisely.
