Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking Field Technicians to sample and test fresh concrete at construction sites. You will perform slump, air, temperature tests and cast cylinders while documenting results the same day.

Training is provided and certifications are sponsored as you progress. The role involves outdoor work, travel to various sites, and collaborating with superintendents to ensure accurate test results.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varied climates.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable; structured training provided.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
