Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature, and cylinder sets, and document results the same day. Work is outdoors, physically demanding, and travel may be required across sites; no experience is required as training and certification sponsorship are provided.

You will perform ASTM tests, maintain equipment, and report to superintendents on site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and heat.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and coachable; able to learn field procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
