Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results on the same day. Work is outdoors across Sugar Land area; no experience required as we train and sponsor certifications.

You will run density tests, ensure proper documentation, and communicate results to superintendents. This role is physical, outdoors, and offers on-site training with career paths from field technician to inspector.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Outdoor work in Gulf Coast heat; able to work on active sites.
• No prior certifications required; company funds training.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
