Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete, record results, and communicate with site superintendents. Training is provided and we sponsor essential certifications as you progress.

You will operate field-density gauges, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and prepare daily reports tied to project locations. Outdoor work is physically demanding but critical to project quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varied weather and sites.
• Willing to learn and to be trained; certifications sponsored.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
